Do you know what MUN stands for? It means Model United Nations, and it is an event promoted by schools and universities all over the world to make students simulate debates about relevant and global issues as if they were in the UN (United Nations). EGVMUN, which has been taking place at Escola Granja Viana in the second semester since 2018, is one example of this kind of conference.
This year our school has been invited to participate in MUNs in other schools of São Paulo, and we are really honored to have this huge opportunity! Besides speaking, writing, listening and reading in English during 3 days, some students from the 9th to the 12th year will develop skills and competences that are basic for every citizen of our contemporary world: communication, critical thinking, decision making, responsibility, diplomacy, research, public speaking, team work, leadership and many others.
Next week, May 27th-29th, 7 students will be representing EGV in POSMUN, at Colégio Porto Seguro. We thank all of them for having accepted this great challenge and wish they have nice and fruitful discussions. Stay tuned in our social media to have updated information!
